Pensaments i violes... Pansies

Haven't you heard?
I'm stuck on a verse
I'm stuck on a boy
who fills me with joy
I knew I was wrong
to jump straight on into
this picture so pretty
But he is so pretty to me

And he doesn't know
just how far I would go
Just to kiss him
He doesn't know I pine

So I make whirlpools
And watch him sparkle
And we'll make love make magic

And haven't you heard?
I thought I had first
And he loves me so
We're two in a row
Just look in his eyes
They're blue as the skies
a picture so pretty
but he is so pretty to me

So I make whirlpools
And watch him sparkle
And we'll make love make magic

But I couldn't tell you
Just tell that it takes you
'Cause words don't make
what I make with him

Haven't you heard?
I'm stuck on a verse
I'm stuck on a boy
who fills me with joy
I knew I was wrong
to jump straight on into
this picture so pretty
But he is so pretty to me

Tristan & Isolda

Tristan e Isolda, S. Dalí

YOU WON'T FORGET ME
(K. Goell/F. Speilman)

You won't forget me, though you may try
I'm part of memories, too wonderful to die
And it will happen, that now and then
You'll fall to wonderin' if we shouldn't have tried again

You won't forget me, on nights like this
The moon will cast on you the shadow of my kiss
No matter where you are with whom you are
You'll think of me, you won't forget me
Just wait and see, you won't forget me
Just wait and see, you won't forget me

You Won't Forget Me (1990)

SABA

i l'enyor d'aquells tords tocant a mà
on no habita l'ahir i tot és ara.
Pensava en l'existència dels altres,
els qui vindran a veure's ací dalt
i prolongar l'intent de cada alba.

PAISATGE

Criatures. Ai!, criden.
Parlen cantant.

...

barranc, pinada, lloma reposada, eucaliptus
perfumat d'eucaliptus, immemorial i vast.

Skating away on...

Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, Madeleine Peyroux, James Taylor, Robert Downey Jr... Totes elles delicioses.

Voldria posar-me els patins i deixar-me anar sobre el riu glaçat... Fugir del Nadal...

"River"

It's coming on Christmas
They're cutting down trees
They're putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
But it don't snow here
It stays pretty green
I'm going to make a lot of money
Then I'm going to quit this crazy scene
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly

I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby cry
He tried hard to help me
You know, he put me at ease
And he loved me so naughty
Made me weak in the knees
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I'm so hard to handle
I'm selfish and I'm sad
Now I've gone and lost the best baby
That I ever had
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly

Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby say goodbye

It's coming on Christmas
They're cutting down trees
They're putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on

Misunderstandings... Desencontres

I.

My dear impulsive darling
I suspect my letter got to you too late
And it's really just a silly fragment of paper
But it means so much to those who wait
All the suffering days and nights till I dare dream again
There you suddenly stand and I'll be damned if you
didn't disappear with the dawn

Hours pass and darkness comes
Soon I will close my eyes
Will you return if you don't reply
You'll be taking my life in your hands
You'll be taking my life in your hands
Taking my life in your hands

I don't know why my dearest darling
I can't tell you how I feel when you are near
When I see you have returned my letters unopened
I will tear them up, your voice ringing in my ears
But you're kidding yourself if you think this
correspondence will end
I can always pretend words I don't have the courage to send
Reach you

II.

It won't do
to dream of caramel,
to think of cinnamon
and long for you.

It won't do
to stir a deep desire,
to fan a hidden fire
that can never burn true.

I know your name,
I know your skin,
I know the way
these things begin;

But I don't know
how I would live with myself,
what I'd forgive of myself
if you don't go.

So goodbye,
sweet appetite,
no single bite
could satisfy...

I know your name,
I know your skin,
I know the way
these things begin;

But I don't know
what I would give of myself,
how I would live with myself
if you don't go.

It won't do
to dream of caramel,
to think of cinnamon
and long for you.

Amb ulls de xiqueta

A Ray of  Sunlight (The Cellist) 1898
John White Alexander (1856-1915)

I darrere guarden tanda moltes altres preguntes:
...

Pinacoteca Nazionale (Bologna)

 1
From harmony,[1] from heavenly harmony
      This universal frame[2] began.
    When Nature underneath a heap
      Of jarring atoms lay,
And could not heave her head, 5
The tuneful voice was heard from high:
      "Arise, ye more than dead!"
Then cold and hot and moist and dry
In order to their stations leap,
      And Music's power obey. 10
  From harmony, from heavenly harmony
      This universal frame began;
      From harmony to harmony
Through all the compass of the notes it ran,
The diapason closing full in Man.[3] 15

 2
What passion cannot Music raise and quell?
When Jubal[4] struck the corded shell,[5]
    His list'ning brethren stood around,
And, wond'ring, on their faces fell
To worship that celestial sound, 20
Less than a god they thought there could not dwell
Within the hollow of that shell
That spoke so sweetly and so well.
What passion cannot Music raise and quell?

 3
The trumpet's loud clangor 25
        Excites us to arms,
      With shrill notes of anger
        And mortal alarms.[6]
      The double double double beat
        Of the thundering drum 30
        Cries, "Hark, the foes come!
Charge, charge, 't is too late to retreat!"

4
The soft complaining flute
      In dying notes discovers
The woes of hopeless lovers, 35
Whose dirge[7]is whispered by the warbling lute.

5
Sharp violins proclaim
  Their jealous pangs and desperation,
  Fury, frantic indignation,
Depth of pains and height of passion, 40
      For the fair disdainful dame.
 6
But oh! what art can teach,
      What human voice can reach
        The sacred organ's praise?
      Notes inspiring holy love, 45
Notes that wing their heavenly ways
      To mend[8] the choirs above.

7
Orpheus[9] could lead the savage race,
And trees unrooted left their place,
      Sequacious of the lyre; 50
But bright Cecilia raised the wonder higher:
When to her organ vocal breath was given,
An angel heard, and straight[10] appeared--
      Mistaking earth for heaven.

 GRAND CHORUS
As from the power of sacred lays 55
      The spheres began to move,
And sung the great Creator's praise
      To all the blest above:
So, when the last and dreadful hour[11]
This crumbling pageant shall devour, 60
The trumpet shall be heard on high,
The dead shall live, the living die,
And Music shall untune the sky.

I ja no sé si vull pujar-hi, o quedar-me ací a la terra,
on les petjades em guien cap a casa,

Amén i bona nit.

Forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvavit.

Sitzende Viktoria mit Kranz,

Eixim a trenc d'alba.

"The white dove is rising to the sound of your god given grace.
To the sound of your god given grace..."*

No sóc cap heroïna.

Sit down my wounded friend
You’re safe at home again...
...

But when it rains
My heart it soars
What’s yours is mine
What’s mine is yours
There’s still a cloud
Hangs over my head
Can’t block it out
I’m going to bed

Sit down, sit down again
There’s nothing left to lose
It’s still a golden age
When all I have is you.*

A tientas

(Evelyn Pickering De Morgan, Night and Sleep)
